7 day clean eating meal plan

Hey there!

You’ll notice that this week’s meal plan is full of some of my favorite low carb recipes. I’m feeling the need to reset and ditch some unhealthy habits! To be totally honest, I haven’t been on my A-game when it comes to food choices these last few months and have been feeling more sluggish…which is pretty typical for me this time of year.  Living in Michigan has its perks, but the super long winter is not one of them! Between lack of sunshine, zero outdoor exercise, and indulging in too many comfort foods, my body and energy level have definitely taken a hit. I’m up several pounds from my comfort zone and not feeling my best, which means it’s time for a reset! For me, that usually means limiting sugar and carbs to get back on track.

I share this because I know many of you are probably in the same situation and I want you to know you’re not alone! I plan to focus on a lower carb meal plan these next couple of weeks, and to really kick it into gear, I will be hosting a FREE 21 Day Spring Clean Eating Challenge beginning on April 12. So if you’re looking to clean up your diet, shed a few pounds for summer, or just reset some positive habits, I hope you will join me and your fellow readers. I’ll be providing plenty of resources and support, and a few prizes along the way. To get started, join the Facebook group  and there will be many more details to come!

Here are a few more highlights from this week you may have missed:

New on the blog this week are these Broccoli Cheese Egg Muffins, which are so delicious and perfect for meal prepping!

Don’t forget to take advantage of the best ButcherBox deal right now. They are offering Free Ground Beef for Life!  This deal only comes around once in a while and is so awesome! I snagged it several years ago and still receive my 2 lbs of ground beef FREE every month!

About the 7 Day Clean Eating Meal Plan

First and foremost, my clean eating meal plans are meant to be simple and family friendly. This is a great place to start if you’re new to clean eating or trying to implement healthy changes into your diet. I take all of the guesswork out by providing recipes that are free of processed food ingredients and easy to prepare with minimal steps. My Clean Eating Meal Plans include 7 dinner recipes that will typically feed a family of four (and sometimes even leftovers!), along with recipe suggestions for prep ahead breakfasts and lunches. This is the method that has worked best for me over the years for staying organized throughout the week, while still leaving a little wiggle room.

You may notice I share a lot of recipes that are made in the Instant Pot. This is because it makes meal time (and meal prep) a total breeze. It truly is a magical appliance that I couldn’t live without! If you don’t already own one, and want to take some of the stress out of your daily dinner routine, I highly encourage you to invest in an Instant Pot. As far as which model to purchase, I recommend the Duo. It’s one of the basic models without all the bells and whistles and is fairly inexpensive, but it does the trick and has held up perfectly for me over several years.

Of course, this meal plan is meant to be a guide only and meals can be switched or swapped to your liking. I like to keep my breakfast and lunch options relatively open but if you are wanting more structure there, feel free to add in more prepped ahead items. You’ll also find plenty of inspiration in my recipe archives and previous meal plans.
