Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings (Keto Gluten Free) – extra crispy and full of flavor, these Garlic Parmesan Wings are perfect for your game day menu or a quick dinner!
We have a slight obsession with chicken wings in our house. It started with my husband’s love of this tasty take-out food and quickly became a family favorite when I discovered how perfectly easy they are to make in the Air Fryer. I’ve been making them using this method for some time but am always looking for new flavor ideas and am loving this Garlic Parm version.
These Garlic Parmesan Wings are truly restaurant worthy with their super crispy texture and garlicky butter sauce. I highly recommend whipping these up for a quick dinner, game night, or tailgate party!
What You’ll Need
3 lbs chicken wings
Baking Powder
Spices: Sea Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder
Grass Fed Butter
Fresh Grated Parmesan
How to Make Crispy Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer
There are a few secrets to making perfectly crispy wings in the Air Fryer.
First, they need to be totally free of extra moisture. I achieve this by blotting them dry with paper towels very well. Second, tossing the wings in baking powder creates an extra crispy skin.
For best results, the wings should be laid in a single layer in the basket. My Air Fryer fits about 1- 1.5 lb of wings comfortably at a time. For larger batches, the wings will need to be cooked in batches.
To minimize mess and clean up in the Air Fryer, try these bamboo liners.
I like to toss the wings in seasonings along with the baking powder, or just salt and pepper for a “naked” version that can be eaten plain or tossed in a sauce.

How to Make Garlic Parmesan Wings
After tossing the chicken wings in the baking powder and seasonings, place them in a single layer in the basket of the Air Fryer.
Spritz the wings lightly with avocado oil. This step is optional but adds another level of crispiness.
Cook the wings at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, flipping them midway through the cooking time. A safe internal temperature for chicken is 165 degrees.
While the wings are cooking, make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce by combining melted butter, fresh grated parmesan, and garlic powder.
Toss the hot wings in the sauce and garnish with additional parmesan cheese if desired.

Hey Larry, just curious what brand Air Fryer do you own? I haven’t had this experience with my GoWise. I always pat the wings dry first with paper towel and use a parchment liner so they don’t stick. 🙂
