Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings (Whole30 Paleo Keto) – the best (and easiest) method for perfectly crispy chicken wings!  Seasoned with a Lemon Pepper blend, these wings are super tasty and made with zero fuss!  Whole30, Paleo, and Keto approved.

For Christmas this year, my kids bought me an air fryer and ever since, I have been playing with my new toy and trying fun new recipes.  To start, I’ve mostly been sticking to the basics like homemade fries and chicken tenders.  So far, everything has been deliciously crispy and a breeze to make.  But by far, the best thing to come out of my new appliance is these Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings!

I just have to say – if for no other reason – owning an air fryer is totally worth it for the chicken wings alone.  When it comes to cooking chicken wings, I’ve never been a fan.  Too labor intensive, rarely crispy enough, and just a general pain to make.  I don’t like deep frying and I’ve not had great results cooking them in the oven.  Discovering this air fryer method was amazing!  Not only is it totally easy and foolproof, the wings come out perfectly crispy every time.  My husband is a chicken wing connoisseur and is in love with this Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings recipe!

How to Make Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer

Start by patting your chicken wings dry with paper towels.  This will ensure that the seasoning blend sticks well to the skin.

Coat the chicken wings with the dry seasoning on all sides.

Arrange the wings in the basket of your air fryer, making sure they are not touching.  Do not overcrowd the air fryer.  If needed, cook wings in batches.

Set the Air Fryer to 380 degrees and cook for 10 minutes.  After 10 minutes, turn the chicken wings over and continue cooking for an additional 6-8 minutes.  A little longer is fine too, if you like a super crispy/blackened chicken wing.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

Another pro tip for making the best Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings is in choosing the seasoning blend.  I noticed all the bottled lemon pepper blends in the grocery store contained sugar, MSG, or other additives.  I found this Real Salt Lemon Pepper Seasoning and it is the perfect mix of lemon, salt, and pepper.  Just right for adding big flavor to wings without any extra junk.

I recommend using these bamboo liners to protect the interior lining of your basket and keep it from wearing out.

Variations on Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Double (or triple) it up!  Cook as many chicken wings as you want/need, just follow the recipe and bake them in batches.
