Best Budget Friendly Whole30 Recipes – my most loved Whole30 Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner recipes that won’t break the bank!
Have you been hesitant to try Whole30 or a clean eating diet because you think it’s too expensive? I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be! Your menu doesn’t have to include recipes with tons of specialty ingredients that can break your budget. I manage to feed my family of four a Whole30 diet at least 80% of the time and our grocery bill is no more, and dare I say, even less than before adopting a clean eating lifestyle!
The thing is, all that processed junk from the store isn’t cheap either. For some reason we are more conditioned to accept the cost of sugar loaded cereal, while being appalled by the cost of organic eggs. We won’t bat an eye at spending a fortune on pre-packaged snacks, cereal, and condiments, yet grass fed beef and good quality produce is a splurge. When you swap out the bad for good, you’re pretty likely to break even on the budget.
Another way I save on my grocery bill is by making my own seasoning blends and condiments (Ranch Dressing, Homemade Mayo, etc.) rather than buying the pricey pre-made Whole30 versions. By saving some money here, I can afford to splurge on some of my favorite items. A few things I find totally worth the extra cost are avocado oil, ghee butter, and coconut aminos.
I have also found that my budget has shrunk because my husband and I eat less food overall. By eating the right things we stay full for longer periods of time, eliminating the need for a pantry full of snacks. Now when I have snacks in the house, they are usually the homemade kind, like these Whole30 Chocolate Larabars.
If you’ve been a follower of my blog, you probably know that my mantra is simple, family-friendly meals. I don’t do complicated, time consuming recipes and I stay away from long lists of ingredients. The following recipes are tried and true, family approved, contain only simple basic ingredients, and won’t break the bank! Several of these recipes use the Instant Pot, but no worries if you don’t own one…everything here can also be made on the stovetop or crockpot.
