I confess, I have a slight cookbook obsession.  I could spend hours in the cookbook section of a book store.  For me, there is nothing better than paging through a new cookbook and getting excited about all the recipes I want to try.  Here are just a few of my favorites!

Skinnytaste Fast and Slow: Knockout Quick Fix and Slow Cooker Recipes

The newest cookbook from my favorite food blog!  All easy prep and slow cooker recipes that your family will love!

The Skinnytaste Cookbook: Light on Calories, Big on Flavor

Gina from Skinnytaste is my food blog idol!  I LOVE this cookbook and refer to it all the time.  Her website is also fabulous, with thousands of simple, healthy recipes to inspire you.

The America’s Test Kitchen Healthy Family Cookbook: A New, Healthier Way to Cook Everything from America’s Most Trusted Test Kitchen

America’s Test Kitchen is the coolest.  Their recipes are tested sometimes hundreds of times and they include tips that are perfect for amateur and experienced chefs.  I especially love this book because the recipes are healthy and family friendly – and that’s what I’m all about!

The Whole30: The 30-Day Guide to Total Health and Food Freedom

This book is an excellent resource for anyone thinking about a ‘Paleo like’ lifestyle.  My husband and I completed a round of Whole30, which is a 30 day no processed food, sugar, dairy, or carb diet, and it was a very enlightening experience.  Not easy, but totally worth it!  Many of the concepts have stuck with us and I refer back to this book all the time for the recipes and the info/tips.

100 Recipes: The Absolute Best Ways To Make The True Essentials

This one from America’s Test Kitchen is so fun!  100 recipes to master – I love the tagline in the book, “Master 20 recipes in this book and you will have earned the right to call yourself a great cook.”  It includes tried and true recipes and tips for cooking all the classics!

The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinnertime: Comfort Classics, Freezer Food, 16-Minute Meals, and Other Delicious Ways to Solve Supper!

I actually bought this book for my 12 year old daughter.  She loves to prepare dinner for the family and she was ready for something beyond the kid cookbooks out there.  I picked a PW cookbook because her recipes include step by step instructions with photos, which is perfect for my little budding chef!  I also love and use this book all the time – partly because her recipes are classic family favorites and partly because I secretly want to live on a ranch and be just like her. 😉
