I’ve found my new favorite obsession! With only four ingredients, this recipe for Buffalo Chicken Burgers couldn’t be easier, and is perfect for a quick meal or making ahead for lunches all week.  What better way to jazz up boring burgers than with bold buffalo wing flavor?! Serve these tasty burgers any way you like – my favorite is over salad greens with Primal Kitchen Ranch Dressing and extra hot sauce. And don’t forget the carrot and celery sticks on the side!

The Best Buffalo Chicken Burgers

The reasons I love this recipe are endless…these burgers are gluten free and packed with protein, great for meal prepping, and a tasty change from traditional burgers. I especially love to pair these burgers with my Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes for a dinner that tastes like a restaurant meal but is made with clean ingredients and doesn’t wreck my gut! Buffalo Chicken Burgers are also budget friendly (see my tip below for making your own ground chicken!) and perfect for making ahead and freezing.

Almond Flour

Hot Sauce (or Buffalo Wing Sauce)

Garlic Powder

Instructions for Buffalo Chicken Burgers

Begin by mixing the ingredients in a bowl. Form into 5-6 patties, depending on desired size. For larger chicken burgers, make 4 patties.

These patties can be cooked on the grill, in a skillet, in the air fryer, or even baked in the oven – you choose! Here’s how to cook Buffalo Chicken Burgers:

  • Grilled

Place patties on a preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until done.

  • Stovetop

Heat 1 tablespoon avocado oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Cook patties for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Air Fryer

Line the air fryer with parchment sheets and place patties in the basket. Cook at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. flipping the burgers halfway through cook time.

  • Oven

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place patties on a large, rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake for 15 minutes, or until done.

How to Make Your Own Ground Chicken

Did you know you can make your own ground chicken at home? This is a great way to save some money in your grocery budget! Begin with inexpensive boneless skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of excess fat. Place the chicken thighs in a food processor and pulse until the chicken is the texture of ground meat. Use the ground meat immediately for these Buffalo Chicken Burgers or freeze for later use.

Can you Freeze Buffalo Chicken Burger Patties?

Yes! These burgers are perfect for making ahead and freezing. After forming the patties, place on a parchment lined baking sheet and flash freeze until just solid. Then transfer to a large freezer safe container or plastic bag. Buffalo Chicken Patties can be frozen for up to 6 months

  • Divide into 5 portions, forming into patties.
  • Grill patties for 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook for 3-4 minutes until done.
