Hummus is always my favorite go-to when I need something fast and healthy to tide me over to my next meal. It’s so tasty and when combined with a handful of raw veggies, is the perfect satisfying and filling snack. I love this easy version of homemade hummus from my cookbook and try to make it weekly just to have on hand for quick snacks!
While plain hummus is pretty delicious on its own, it’s always fun to jazz it up with extra toppings. The savory and nutty taste of the seasoning pairs perfectly with the tangy chickpea spread, making it the perfect dip for raw veggies, pita or bagel chips, or as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.

Can I make hummus without tahini?
Yes, absolutely. Tahini is wonderful for adding silky texture and nutty, sesame flavor to hummus but can be left out completely if desired. Cashew or almond butter can also be used as a substitute for tahini.
