If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I have a thing for homemade seasoning blends. I love to create spice mixes with different flavor profiles for using in all my favorite recipes. They’re convenient, budget friendly, and free of junky ingredients and excess sodium.

My newest addition to the collection is this Homemade Lawry’s Seasoned Salt. It’s an all-purpose seasoning, simple to make with just four basic ingredients, and packs a huge punch of flavor. It’s an excellent addition to soups/stews, chili, grilled and roasted meat, marinades, roasted veggies, fish…you name it!

What You’ll Need

Sea Salt

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Paprika

How to Make your Own Seasoned Salt

To make Homemade Seasoned Salt, measure and combine sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in a small bowl. Stire well and pour into a small mason jar or other airtight container for storage.

Making your own seasoning blends takes only a few minutes but saves plenty of time and money in the long run. Simply gather the spices you’ll need, mix, and store in an airtight container.

How to Use Seasoned Salt

When using seasoned salt or other homemade spice blends in recipes, be sure to stir the mix first, as spices tend to clump and settle over time. The great thing about this seasoning mix is that it is so versatile! It can be used as a substitute for Lawry’s, to season meat, in soups and stews, on roasted veggies, or as a quick multi-purpose flavor booster.

Keep this seasoning blend handy for a quick addition to your favorite savory recipes. My favorite uses for this Seasoned Salt include Air Fryer Chicken Wings, Cheesy Ground Turkey & Rice Skillet, Air Fryer Sweet Potato Cubes, and Instant Pot Hamburger Soup.

It’s best to keep your homemade spice mixes in a cool, dry location. They will keep for 3-6 months. Stir spices before using.
