Skinny Double Chocolate Applesauce Muffins – naturally sweetened, oil-free double chocolate muffins made with applesauce and Greek yogurt.  Sweet and seriously addictive!

These Skinny Double Chocolate Applesauce Muffins are a lightened up decadent treat, free of any added fat or refined sugar.  The perfect solution to your chocolate fix craving, without any guilt.  These totally taste like a cheat, but they’re not!

Much like my Zucchini Applesauce Muffins, these muffins are a healthier option you can feel good about feeding to your kids or grabbing for a quick snack.  Some added protein from the yogurt is an extra bonus!

Greek yogurt and applesauce add a rich moistness to these muffins – no oil or butter necessary.  In this recipe (and most baked goods recipes), I like to use coconut sugar as a replacement for refined white sugar.  Coconut sugar has some added health benefits and you won’t notice the difference!  For some extra sweetness and texture, this recipe also includes dark chocolate chips and finely diced apples.  The apples are an optional add-in, just don’t skip the chocolate chips. 😉

These muffins are perfect as a to-go breakfast or after school snack.  My personal recommendation is to eat them warm with a little smear of almond or peanut butter.   Looking for more healthier treats and snack options?  Check out these Skinny Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies and Whole30 Chocolate Larabars!
