My Story…

As someone who has always been interested in nutrition and healthy living, I started developing recipes over the years that fit a clean eating lifestyle but were also simple and would work for my picky kids and husband.  Along the way, I learned how to feed my family well without spending tons of time at the stove fussing over complicated meals.  Then I discovered Whole30 and it was life changing.  Since adopting a clean eating approach to cooking, I feel better than ever, have more energy, and took a stab at living my dream by starting this blog (which was super scary and exciting all at once) and going back to school to study Nutritional Therapy. I even published a clean eating cookbook!

Fast forward 10 years and my passion is helping women over 40 feel their absolute best through simple, healthy living by prioritizing nutrition, strength training, and sustainable habits.

I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate this season of life — the shifting hormones, the stubborn weight loss, and the desire to feel energized and strong again. After turning 50 myself, I realized that wellness isn’t about extremes. It’s about finding a balanced approach that works with our bodies, not against them. That’s exactly what I share here: practical tips, simple whole food recipes, and realistic wellness strategies designed specifically for women in midlife.

In short, I believe in using WHOLE FOODS in EASY RECIPES that EVERYONE LOVES.  I truly believe that food can be healing to the body, but I also love and live by the 80/20 rule, because balance is key! 🙂

Here you will find plenty of tasty recipes made with whole ingredients, meal prep tips, and other advice for healthy living.  I hope to inspire others to love cooking and clean eating in a way that is approachable and simple!

Finding a healthy balance in life can be challenging – we can all use a little help in that department!  I’m passionate about sharing time-saving nutritious recipes and tips with those who want to live a healthy life without added mealtime stress.

When I’m not working on the blog, you’ll find me on a long walk with my dog, experimenting in the kitchen, spending time at the lake with my family, or curled up with a good book. I’m a Midwest girl who LIVES for Michigan summers, loves a good 80’s playlist, and can’t live without pizza!
