2017 Fall Reading List – the weather is cooler and it’s time to cozy up with a good book.  Here is my list of favorite must-read titles!

Since Summer seems to have officially come to a close and I’ve wrapped up my Summer Reading List, I thought I would share my latest list of must-read books.  Colder weather equals the perfect excuse to stay inside with a good book!  This list includes a little of everything…historical fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, and suspense thrillers.  For me, reading is like an escape.  I hope you find something here to get lost in too!

Please leave a comment with your own favorites.  I would love to hear your suggestions!

America’s First Daughter by Stephanie Dray – I love fiction based on true historical events!  This is the story of one of the founding fathers (Thomas Jefferson), his daughter, and slave girl turned mistress.

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng – mothers and daughters, secrets, mystery, and cultural undertones…need I say more?

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware – this is a page turner full of suspense and mystery, so don’t plan to do anything else until you finish!!

Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain – confession, I am an introvert in every sense of the word.  I am all too familiar with the fact that introverts get a bad rap, but this book puts it all into perspective!!

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate – based on a 1930s true scandal of poor children being kidnapped and sold to wealthy families, this novel is getting EXCELLENT reviews!

My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman – his books have the most endearing, unique, and real characters.  Get busy and read A Man Called Ove too if you haven’t already!

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood – I read this in college and need to reread before watching the Hulu series that everyone is freaking over!

Caroline: Little House, Revisited by Sarah Miller – because I am a total Little House on the Prairie nerd!  Written as a novel in Caroline’s (Ma) voice.  Just pure nostalgia for me 🙂

The Silent Wife by A.S.A. Harrison – my Book Club recently read this.  A dark psychological thriller reminiscent of Gone Girl.  SO juicy and soon to be a movie!

The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Come & Get It!: Simple, Scrumptious Recipes for Crazy Busy Lives by Ree Drummond – stress free recipes from my favorite TV cook and THE original food blogger!
