Island Green Tropical Smoothie FAQs
How do you make green smoothies sweet?
A little banana goes a long way when it comes to adding sweetness! There’s no need to use other sweeteners or sugars in smoothies.
Can I use fresh fruit instead of frozen?
Yes, it’s fine to use fresh pineapple and mango instead of frozen. I like the frozen fruit because it makes the smoothie extra cool and frosty. You could also add some ice cubes before blending to achieve this effect.
Can I double this recipe and freeze the leftovers?
Absolutely! I like to freeze leftover smoothies in ice cube trays, then pop out the cubes and store them in freezer bags. When ready to use, simply throw the cubes into a blender with a bit of liquid and blend.
Can I use any liquid in this smoothie?
To keep it dairy free, try coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk, or your favorite dairy free milk. If this isn’t a concern, regular milk can also be used.
