Who doesn’t love a good BLT sandwich? Crispy bacon, crunchy lettuce,  and juicy tomatoes on toasted bread? Yum! Since I’m always on a mission to create recipes where comfort food meets healthy food, I came up with a low carb BLT that is so good, you won’t even miss the bread! Classic BLT flavors in chopped salad form are combined with creamy avocado and stuffed in crunchy lettuce cups. This recipe is perfect for low carb and Keto plans, but you certainly don’t have to be following any special diet to enjoy these BLT Wraps – they are a refreshing and satisfying meal anytime!

How to Make BLT Lettuce Wraps with Avocado

Besides the amazing flavors, the best thing about this recipe is how simple it is to throw together. To make the filling, begin by chopping the ingredients into small equal bite sized pieces. Combine it all in a bowl and add the lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss the mixture gently and then scoop the BLT filling into lettuce cups. I like to finish the lettuce wraps with a drizzle of Homemade Ranch Dressing, but that is totally optional!

Variations on BLT Lettuce Wraps

Skip the wraps and make one big chopped salad by chopping the lettuce instead and tossing it all together!

Add chopped chicken (or sub it for the bacon) to the filling.

Sprinkle wraps with Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning.

Feta or blue cheese is another delicious addition to these BLT Wraps!

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb bacon, cooked, and chopped
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped cucumbers
  • 1 large avocado, diced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 lettuce cups, Romaine or Bibb lettuce work great

Instructions

  • Combine bacon, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss gently to combine.
  • Scoop mixture into lettuce cups and drizzle with Ranch Dressing or other favorite dressing if desired.
