Best Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas
When it comes to fajitas, I consider myself somewhat of an expert. I have a deep love for all versions of fajitas (check out this Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajita recipe!) and especially enjoy making them at home. They are tasty, nutritious, and of course made extra good with plenty of fresh salsa and guacamole. This Air Fryer method is my new favorite for making chicken fajitas because it is SO simple and quick but I also love this sheet pan version as well!
Made with very little oil and a homemade fajita seasoning blend, these Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas are a healthy meal that the whole family will enjoy. The air fryer simultaneously produces perfectly juicy chicken and slightly crispy peppers and onions! Best of all, they are ready in about 20 minutes and require minimal clean up!
Ingredients
Boneless skinless chicken breasts
Bell peppers
Onion
Avocado Oil
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Swaps & Variations
Feel free to swap boneless skinless chicken thighs for the chicken breast
Use any color(s) bell pepper desired
Substitute red onion for the yellow onion
How to Make Fajitas in the Air Fryer
Cut the chicken breast into uniformly sized chunks or strips.
Cut bell peppers and onions into chunks or strips, similar to the chicken.
Make the Fajita seasoning by mixing the spices together.
Add chicken, onions, peppers, oil, and seasoning to a large bowl and toss to combine.
Arrange the mixture in the Air Fryer basket and cook at 380 degrees for 12-15 minutes, tossing halfway through cooking time.
Ideas for Serving Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas
Serve in corn or flour tortillas, topped with guacamole
Build fajita bowls with rice and favorite fajita toppings
Serve chicken fajitas over salad greens with desired toppings

Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
- 3 bell peppers, red, green, and orange (or any combo)
- 1 small yellow onion
- 2 tablespoons Homemade Fajita Seasoning, see recipe below
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil

- Cut the chicken into equally sized chunks or strips.
- Cut the bell peppers and onion into equally sized chunks or strips.
- Toss chicken, peppers, onions, oil, and seasoning in a large bowl.
- Arrange mixture in the basket of the air fryer and cook for 12-15 minutes, tossing at least once throughout cooking.
